Eid Celebrations in China-2009
Amidst this
festive environment, all Bangladeshis were found embracing each other
(forgetting everything, even swine flu!) and exchanging eid greetings
with the joyfulness that was evident in their eyes. All of them had
opted for a short reprieve to this party as for them an occasion like
eid works like a catalyst to enliven them. Here comes an inevitable
part of eid that is food. In fact food and eid are complement to each
other. Starting from polau, chicken, beef, chotpoti and shemai, payesh
at the end as dessert, there were many kinds of items in the party that
we expect to eat at home on eid day.
Overall, this was a day that will have an enduring effect in our memory, not only for foods of assorted flavors but for the chance to get the very essence of holy eid, one that we all used to have in our home. |
